    Chapter 01

    Founded

    Founded by Nittaya Keokhum, Thai Express opens its doors as Springfield's first Thai fast-casual restaurant.

  2. 2011
    Chapter 02

    New owner

    Patrick Nett takes ownership. Sontaya (Patrick Sr.) remains in charge of operations.

  3. 2017
    Chapter 03

    Modern era

    Patrick Nett takes over operations and begins implementing modern tech.

  4. 2020
    Chapter 04

    Community first

    When COVID hits, Thai Express provides free, hard-to-find toiletries and necessities to all customers — and becomes a pinnacle business in the community.

  5. 2022
    Chapter 05

    Moved south

    James Tran takes over operations and Thai Express relocates to south Springfield.

  6. 2026
    Chapter 06

    Today

    Thai Express reorganizes debt through a confirmed Chapter 11 plan and is stabilizing operations in preparation for future growth.
